Should be noted the church ran very successfully without any defined bylaws for almost 20 years. Because somebody missed a crutial government to register the bylaws none of these came into effect until 2003 just after the Pendergasts served their affidavit. There maybe problems even so with the way the registration took place. The question arises if important decisons made in the period from 1992 to 2003 are infact legal or even ethical without the Alberta Registrar's approval? The church comes the Religious Societies Land Act which provides little or no safeguards to members or attendees.
