Because of Jennifer's fragile health condition it was agreed with the mediator/moderator and Elder Craig Edwards that the reason the Elders wanted to meet the Pendergasts be put in writing so that they would be less stressed and could be prepare ahead of time. It took six weeks for this letter of rejection to arrive. Not the threatening nature of the letter.

Once the September 2004 meeting with the moderator had taken place it became apparent the elders were hiding their emabarrasment that their original discipline letter of September 2003 was full of false accusations - a single email would be the cause. Kevin Phillips would admitted that a forgiveness procedure had taken place on Septemebr 14th 2003 and negated any complaints by himself, Pastors Wallace & Cumberlin and others. Its hard to imagine that the elders did not ask for forgiveness for this terrible admission. Rather they took very aggressive action to get the Pendergasts out irrespective of any evidence. What on earth fueled this fury?
