Barry and Jennifer have served in many positions. In September 2003 the Elders and Pastors at South Calgary Community brutially forced the Pendergast out of service without any level of just cause other than they asked reasonable questions of the leaders involvement in a marriage ministry they had initiated. the questioning focussed on the attitudes of the Senior Pastor - Jim Wallace and his wife Barton Wallace. Bartonm being a minstry leader and a paid staff member.

The elders did everything they could to descredit the Pendergasts in a way that can only be termed a conspiracy to protect the Senior Pastor and his wife from being held accountable.

Although the Pendergasts continue to serve in other Christian groups they are extremely wary of too much involvement.
