Has The Right To Protest Against Unfair Actions In Canada Stopped ?
14th April 2005 - Barry, Jennifer and Maureen Walls outside South Calgary Community Church handing out a letter and inviting ladies from the Ladies Time Out Wrap Up breakfast to visit the bleatinglambs.org web site to see why Jennifer suddenly and mysteriously disappeared from Ladies time Out Activities after a 9 year involvement. Most ladies were very pleasant and gracious about recieving the handout.

More sessions are planned to 'educate' their old church 'friends' on another point of view and a request for reconciliation. Please note Cameron Graham from South Calgary, top right recording the event hidden behind the building...we can see a sermon topic coming along using this tape!
Strange how Kevin Phillips the chairman of the elders, the elders, pastors and denomination representatives have meetings with church members FIVE times about the Pendergasts and behind their backs - yet object to a peaceful public demonstration. Todays letter is just a continuation of the patten of threats, never seeking reconciliation. To threaten legal action is strange bearing in mind the hue and cry by the church leaders and its members over the initial action by the Pendergasts. Seems like a double standard! But then spending hard earned money for legal fees is something the elders do quite well - their problems with the Pendergasts cost the church a reported $38,000. A quite unnecessary expenditure had they heeded the many requests for mediation in the beginning.

They made most of the mistakes Ron Susek mentions in his list!

Where is the Christian Love? It was pretty cold...the elders could have shown their Christian love by bringing Barry, Jennifer and Maureen a hot chocolate instead of putting them on 'candid camera'. Seriously their action infringed the most basic tenents of free speech. The Pendergasts hope more concerned Christians will join them next time to use that most precious part of life in Canada (Charter of Rights) - the chance to peacefully raise attention to a serious issues of abusive and unfair actions.

We ask Kevin Phillips to carefully mark the exact boundaries of the church land so that at the next demonstration, demonstrators do not wander onto church land.

In April 2002 Pastor Marg Cumberlin writes to Jennifer - Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the children in our Time Out Ministry. You are much appreciated & loved by parents & children alike. May God richly bless all you do!

A little over a year later Pastor Marg would turn on Jennifer in the most un-Christian & cruelist way. Encouraging the Ladies Time Out Executive to isolate Jennifer from her friends and especially hurtful from the children who loved her. Nothing more painful or hurtful could have been done to Jennifer.

Pastor Cumberlin, with help from Denise Chaulk would also cruelly take over a parenting course from Jennifer causing her great humiliation apart from breaking a contract Jennifer had.

Ann Blough, a respected past Alderman, School trustee and also a long time Ladies Time Out attendee resigned over the hurt she witnessed done to Jennifer. She asked to address the ladies on why she was leaving the ministry. She was refused.

Women attendees were left to wonder what Jennifer had done. They were told she had stepped down when she was away. When she returned in March 2004 the Elders and Ladies Executive fought bitterly to prevent any publc statement being made. They further isolated her to shame her. This action by a number of ladies would be a crutial factor in her being rushed to the emergency ward twice and her continuing health problems.

Praise God several ladies who still can attest to the cruel actions by Denise Chaulk , Pastor Cumberlin and the executive

Another lady will be soon be sharing her cruel treatment at the hands of pastors regarding Ladies Time Out actvities. She also was hospitalised as a result of the same tactics as on Jennifer.

When confronted with the cruel behavior by Ann Blough and the Pendergasts the chairperson first said she was too busy and there are always two sides to any problem. Later in 2004 the elders, pastors and executive refused to respond to a request to meet and discuss the issues. This would contravene the bylaws of the church requiring Matthew 18:15 to be adhered to in the case of a conflict.
